Positioned as a high-level, educational session, the webinar will cover cybersecurity basics, review the cybersecurity risk management process and framework, and highlight our nation’s critical infrastructure areas where cybersecurity is most important. The webinar will also present a snapshot into some of the ways the Level 3 protects its own information assets to mitigate risk.

Ben Courter is a Senior Federal Segment Manager for Level 3 Communications responsible for marketing Level 3's portfolio services to Federal agencies. Ben has twelve years experience in telecommunications with a variety of roles including Product Marketing, Business Development and Competitive and Market Intelligence.

Dale Drew

Vice President and Chief Security Officer, Level 3 Communications

Dale Drew serves as Vice President and Chief Security Officer of Level 3 Communications. His responsibilities include ensuring the security of all of Level 3's Global Security concerns, including maintaining Architecture, Engineering, and Operational responsibility for Physical Security, Logical Security, Federal Security, Business Continuity and Managed Security services. Dale's team oversees the security of internal (enterprise) security as well as products and services security.

He has over 23 years of professional security experience working in the Law Enforcement investigative and global ISP security capacities having worked for US Secret Service, Arizona Attorney Generals Office and telecommunications companies such as MCI and Qwest.

Erik K Linask

Group Editorial Director, TMCnet

Erik oversees the daily operation of TMCnet, which delivers news, information, videos, white papers, podcasts, and more to three million visitors each month. He is also a contributor to TMCnet as well as TMC’s IP Communications publications. Prior to joining the TMC team, several years ago, he was Managing Editor at Global Custodian, a global securities services publication, where he also managed the magazine’s survey research. Erik began his professional career at management consulting firm Leadership Research Institute.
